LinQuest PNVC Test Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado

DescriptionLinQuest is seeking a Test and Evaluation engineer to join our team atPeterson Air Force Base, CO.We are looking for an innovative, creative, and highly motivatedindividual to support a MILSATCOM Program Office managing a diverse set ofstrategic and tactical MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure. The candidatewill provide test and evaluation and test operations support of a diverse setof strategic and tactical MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure. Design,plan, coordinate, and execute testing on the Air Force Command PostTerminal (AFCPT), Time Distribution Subsystem Pre Processor(TDSPP), Milstar Messaging Application (MMA), Global BroadcastService (GBS), Ground Multi-band Terminals (GMT), NuclearCommand, Control, and Communications (NC3) networks, various othersystems, subsystems and MILSATCOM devices. Provide engineering andtechnician-level support for each of the above systems, includingintegration, communication circuit troubleshooting, system-level anomalyresolution, and the identification and isolation of software or hardwaredefects to evaluate/assess system modifications for shortfalls orinteroperability issues and provide technical assessments to the client withregards to the modifications. Author and deliver technical documentationincluding test plans, test procedures, system configuration diagrams,engineeriResponsibilities:Provide engineering and technician-level support for each of the abovesystems, including integration, communication circuit troubleshooting,system-level anomaly resolutionIdentification and isolate software or hardware defects to evaluate/assesssystem modifications for shortfalls or interoperability issues and providetechnical assessments to the client with regards to the modificationsAuthor and deliver technical documentation including test plans, testprocedures, system configuration diagrams, engineering studies,technical white papers, and test reportsTravel: approximately 10%Required Skills:Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computerscience, or equivalent technical disciplineKnowledge of DoD mission system sustainmentProficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skillsPreferred Skills:Knowledge operating or maintaining the following: AFCPT, TDSPP, MMA,GMT, GBS Receive Suites, NC3, cryptographic equipment (e.g.,KIV-7M, ANDVT, KGV-11, KG-250), or related infrastructure and/orsupport equipmKnowledge of Secure Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker(SCC), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) automated benchmarkchecks and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) manualchecks, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) manualchecks, and DISA STIG ViewerAbility to work in a highly competitive multi-contractor environmentMust be a motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-joblearning/improvementSystems engineering certifications, such as CSEP, ESEP, OCSMPRequired Experience:5+ years of experience with MILSATCOM equipment and troubleshooting5+ years of experience handling Communications Security (COMSEC)materials and devicesUS Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required forthe positionPreferred Experience:10+ years of experience with DoD/USAF test processes and documentation andMBSE10+ years of experience working with military or DoD civilian clients andmanaging professional relationshipsTS/SCI PreferredCompensation:Starting salary ranges from $90,000 to $110,000...
