It's how the best ideas come tolight and why the best people choose to work at EVRAZ.Job Description and ResponsibilitiesEVRAZ has an immediate opening for an Operator at our Colorado Springsrecycling facility. The main responsibilities of this role are to operate andmaintain heavy, motorized equipment for purposes of unloading/loading offerrous materials in a safe and efficient manner. Operator works inconjunction with the scale operator and office staff, unloading customers,minimizing traffic congestion and maintaining a steady flow in and out of they* Operate heavy motorized equipment used in loading/unloading of ferrousmaterial, including, but not limited to loaders, crane, grapplecrane, shear and other equipment used to support the variety of activitiesessential to the yard operations* Ensure motorized equipment is properly maintained and perform preventativemaintenance as required including, fluids, filter changes and partslubrication* Accountable for loading trucks accurately (proper weights), safely,efficiently and communicate via radio to scale personnel for confirmation ofmaterial loaded and any issues that may come up* Unload transports with ferrous materials, safely and efficiently, clean(sweep) trailers of excess material* Stock pile/sort metals and place in the designated areas* Use hand-held mobile radio devices to effectively coordinate tasks andresources with yard and scale personnel* Maintain accurate logs and records daily, weekly and monthly and/or asrequired by supervisionJob Requirements* Knowledge of yard operations* Must have 2 years of experience operating heavy motorized equipment* Knowledge and understanding of ferrous metals and classifications* Customer focus: takes responsibility for developing excellent customerservice making sure that all purchases are handled professionally andexpeditiously* Communication Skills: communicates clearly and concisely, both orallyand in writing and/or via mobile radio devices* Team Player: establishes trust with team members, stating clearexpectations and recognizes group morale and acts to protect and/or build asrequired* Self-motivated: initiates and takes action before being required to do so.
