Are you ready to launch your career?ResponsibilitiesThe Aerospace Corporation is seeking Cyber Security Engineers for The CyberOperations and Resilience Department (CORD). This department providestechnical support in researching and engineering cyber solutions for Aerospaceinternal and external customers in all segments of national security spacesystems. Support is provided across multiple functional areas to includeground network and space-based systems for multiple mission partners toinclude Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), SMC Directorates,National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), the nuclear enterprise, andCivil Agencies. A primary focus is to support the Space Enterprise Vision(SEV) and Space Warfighting Construct (SWC).Key FunctionsSupport test, study and improve mission resiliency for Space Mission Systemsfrom advanced cyber threatsDevelop and test Defensive Cyber Operations tools and capabilitiesApplies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribedscientific and/or cyber security tasksParticipate in risk management activities to ensure cybersecurity risks areevaluated and mitigations applied in accordance with security directivesPrioritize work and meet deadlines; must be energetic and self-motivatedProactively support program management of multiple projects and facilitatein-depth working groups to identify credible threats, relevantvulnerabilities, and assess operational impactsAssist in development of mitigating courses of action and creation ofcomprehensive strategies to include system design modificationsClosely collaborate with the Aerospace, Government, SETA and missionpartner representativesQualificationsThis position can be filled as a Cyber Security Engineer or Sr. Cyber SecurityEngineerRequired for Cyber Security EngineerBachelors of Science or technical degree from an accredited University5 or more years of cyber security/cyber operations experienceThe ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance,which is issued by the U.S. government.
