Aboveall, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesHDR currently has an opening for a Construction Inspector to join our team inColorado on a temporary basis (project hire). The primary duties includeconducting and documenting observations of construction on transportationprojects. Strong written skills and good communication skills are a must.Responsibilities may include earthwork inspection, stormwater managementinspection, drainage system installation, base course, HMA, and/orPCCP paving inspection, signage, striping, guardrail installation, ADARamp installation, retaining wall installation, coordination of fieldmaterials sampling and testing. CDOT core curriculum, ECS, and ATSSA orability to obtain is required. WAQTC and certifications and ability toperform occasional concrete, soils, or asphalt testing is desirable butnot required. Monitors, records, and inspects progress on constructionprojects, etc. May have involvement in client development and projectpursuits.QualificationsRequired Qualifications* High school graduate or equivalent. Tech school or college degreebeneficial.* 3 years of experience inspecting transportation construction projectspreferred.* Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) experience, FederalTransit Administration (FTA) experience, and or Central Federal Landsexperience is desirable.* Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and smartphone usage.* Strong written communication skills a must.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* This position requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures priorto being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcoholtesting.
