Aboveall, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary Responsibilities:Take responsibility for managing the prime contractor for compliance withproject schedule, cost, and quality compliance* Understand and work with client in utilization of project and clientspecific project management forms, document control, and communications* Review and respond to contractor submittals including schedules, payapplications, correspondence, RFI's, materials testing documentationcompliance* Construction administration including pro-active change management* Effective communication with Owner, designer, and contractor* Chair weekly progress meetings including issuance and distribution ofmeeting minutes* Coordinate and manage project quality assurance and control, andinspection services* Measure and calculate quantities for payment, documenting measurementsand quantity calculations* Review contractor pay applications, verifying appropriate quantitiesand compliance of pay application supporting documentation with regard tocertifications, weigh tickets, payroll, and more* Take responsibility for project setup and temporary facilities* Be active on the project site, creating daily reports that incorporatephotos with captions of the work in progress* Understand construction safety and comply with HDR safety requirementsspecific to each project site* Be willing to travel to work on construction project sitesQualifications Required Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction,Construction Science or closely related field* 10 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning andmanagement, including but not limited to estimating, bidding,scheduling, cost control, quality management, safety oriented* Experience interpreting bridge construction plans and spec is a must* Experience with construction management software packages and MicrosoftOffice, Prolog, MS Project, and ability to learn ProjectWise* Must have strong people skills and the ability to interact with theowner, design project manager, contractor project manager and/orsuperintendent, utility company representatives, and land and/orbusiness owner* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of ouremployee-owned culture is a must* Be physically capable to walk on construction sites at locations withconsiderable topography (i.e. must be able to walk up and down embankmentsPreferred Qualifications* Professional Engineer and/or Certified Construction Manager* Effective written communication skills* Ability to interpret construction schedules* Construction Contract Administration Experience* Past experience working on projects designed utilizing ColoradoDepartment of Transportation standards and specifications#LI-MB2Why HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it's alsoabout what you do and how you do it.
