POSITION TITLE: Director, Global Security Operation

SUMMARY: Oracle Global Physical Security maintain 3
Global Operation Centers (GSOCs) resourced by dedicated 3 rd party
contracted personnel; one located in Broomfield, Co, USA supporting the North
American (NAM) and Latin American (LAD) regions; plus two co-located in
Linlithgow, Scotland supporting the Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and
Japan & Asia Pacific (JAPAC) regions. Additionally, Regional Security
Operation Centers (RSOCs) are located in Argentina, India, China and Japan. The GSOC/RSOC program is the nerve center of Oracle’s
Global Physical Security (GPS) strategy. The Director, Global Security
Operation Centers will provide strategic direction and leadership for all GSOC/RSOC
locations and assigned personnel. Periodic
global travel will be required. This is an individual contributor (IC) role and
the position has no direct reports.

retention of high caliber GSOC/RSOC staff.

policies and procedures; ensures that staff members understand and comply with
applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Must have a minimum of 10 years of industrial security
experience, combined with a minimum of 7 years of senior management and
leadership experience ideally within a GSOC environment.
Strong understanding of industry specific legislations and
compliance requirements as they apply to GSOC/RSOCs.
Experience of crisis management as it relates to physical
security at corporate level.
A working knowledge of various GSOC technology resources
including mass notification tools, access control/CCTV systems and travel
Proficient with all basic Microsoft computer software
programs and communications techniques
Ability to communicate and articulate with a high level of
proficiency in both the written and verbal format at all levels up to and
including Corporate Executive leadership.
Adept at customer service skills.
Must be a team player ideally with global exposure to
working with individuals from different cultures, backgrounds and experiences.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY, IMPACT OF DECISIONS AND DEGREE OF
The Director, Global Security Operation Centers (GSOCs)
scope of responsibility will be global in nature.
Decision impact is high and degree of direct supervision is
minimal. This is a Director level position with a high degree of responsibility
and operational impact on the business function. The qualified candidate will
report directly to the GPS Senior Director, Global Operations &
Investigations, who is based in the United Kingdom (UK), and function under
PROCESSES AND METHODOLOGY USED TO PERFORM JOB:
This position will develop global operational strategy, lead
collaborative teams and resources to successful performance. Conduct analysis
of business needs and identify programs & services required to meet those
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Ability to show experience in above required essential
functions is mandatory.
BS/BA Degree desirable but not mandatory.
Industry certifications are preferred, but not required.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Provides security services on company premises.
Responsible for security in a specified facility or region. Conduct theft investigations. Provide security for sensitive exit interviews. Act as liaison between company and law enforcement agency. Implement corporate security policies and procedures. May be responsible for managing contract guard personnel.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
