Position Summary:

SomaLogic is a 200-person privately owned biotechnology company that delivers precise and personalized health insights using its proprietary technology, which measures changes in thousands of different proteins in blood and other sample types. We are a dedicated team of science-based colleagues working to maximize health and wellness for people around the world.

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for preparing external financial statements and collaborating with FP&A to prepare management reporting packages. The role will also be involved in drafting technical accounting memos and consulting with the business on other accounting transactions. This role will be heavily involved in supporting the year-end audit and quarterly reviews. This individual should be comfortable managing deadlines, adapting to changing priorities and communicating with other departments within the organization.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Ÿ Preparing financial statements on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis

Ÿ Collaborating with FP&A on management reporting and providing support during budget cycles

Ÿ Reviewing revenue contracts to ensure policy and GAAP compliance

Ÿ Preparing or reviewing schedules to be provided to external auditors

Ÿ Working closely with auditors on year-end audit and quarterly reviews

Ÿ Prepare technical accounting memorandums for significant transactions

Ÿ Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules to ensure compliance to SEC, US GAAP, PCAOB, or other regulations

Ÿ Advise, guide and monitor peers as it relates to compliant accounting behavior

Ÿ Take on a proactive role in accounting and accounting-related projects (e.g. implementation of new accounting standards, business and M&A projects)

Ÿ Support with month and year-end closing and performing financial reviews

Ÿ May assist with implementation of SOX as needed

Ÿ Special projects as needed



Ÿ Bachelor or higher degree in accounting or finance

Ÿ CPA preferred, or equivalent qualification with US GAAP experience

Skills and experience

Ÿ 3 - 4 years applicable accounting experience is required, Big Four audit experience a plus

Ÿ Demonstrated knowledge and ability in researching and documenting new accounting guidance and the accounting treatment of issues

Ÿ ASC 606 experience desired

Ÿ Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ÿ Self-motivated, flexible, team oriented

Ÿ Strong knowledge of US GAAP required; SEC experience desired

Ÿ Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; or other system knowledge

Ÿ Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP system desired

Ÿ Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
