Aerotek Research Associate in Boulder, Colorado
Aerotek Scientific is actively recruiting for a Research Associate or an exciting biotech company in Boulder, CO. As a Research Associate in the Cell Biology group, you will be part of a diverse team of microbiologists for discovering and improving the genome editing machinery. In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop the most cutting-edge strain engineering technologies, design innovative high-throughput assays, and optimize automated protocols related to our product line.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineer bacteria and yeast strains
DNA extraction and chemical solution preparation
Develop, test, and optimize assays and product workflows
Collaborate closely with the team members and other cross-functional groups
Analyze and present experimental data
Support laboratory operations at the facility
QUALIFICATIONS
BS/MS biology, molecular biology, synthetic biology, biochemistry, or related fields
Experience in handling microbial cells ( E. coli , S. cerevisiae etc)
Experience in molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, restriction enzyme digestion, ligation, Gibson assembly, gel extraction, transformation, DNA extraction
Ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams
Exceptional data analysis and quantitative skills
Track record of creativity and problem solving leading to successful products
