*THIS POSITION IN LOCATED IN GENEVA, SWITZERLAND*JOB SUMMARY:The Associate Director has overall responsibility for the site's Safety,Health, and Environment (SHE) program. The includes leadership tomaintain compliance and continuous SHE performance improvements. The ADfacilitates SHE governance and manages execution of SHE activities associatedwith biotechnology laboratories and manufacturing.The head of SHE promotes positive safety culture and behaviors. Coordinateswith operations to identify and mitigate risks with effective engineeringcontrols, procedures, and training. The Associate Director is responsiblefor the development and application of SHE programs, procedures, improvingSHE procedures and methods at the site, and driving alignment across sites.Responsibilities include primary contact for SHE response, incidentreporting and investigations, waste disposal, environmental permits,waste water sampling and reporting, safety inspections, and SHEassessments for new product introductions to manufacturing. May provide SHEsupport for small satellite sites.This position is also responsible for SHE metrics, reporting, compliancereviews, risk management, and ensuring compliance of applicable SHE lawsand regulations. Manages all applicable SHE programs for the site such as:LOTO, confined space entry, industrial hygiene, hazard communication,PPE, workers compensation, emergency management, etc.The Associate Director manages activities of a small SHE team and crossfunctional SHE representatives. The AD drives alignment and coordination withother functions such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Process Development,and Quality Assurance. Leads efforts of the organization across functionalboundaries. Represents the functional area to clients, auditors, andinspectorOversees SHE support for multiple systems, processes, or areas. Developssubject matter experts in several areas. Applies approaches to develop andimplement strategies, technologies, or other major improvements.Directs, reviews and approves SHE documents.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages SHE program activities and ensures SHE complianceDevelops and implements changes to improve SHE performancePlanning, reporting, metrics, administration activitiesWastewater and Hazardous Waste programMonitor the work of contracted SHE suppliers and service providers.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:BS degree in an environmental, health, safety, engineering, orscientific field of study plus 10 years' related experience.KBI Biopharma, Inc. is an EEO/AA employer and actively seeks to diversifyits work force.
