Members of our team provide advanced analytic and strategicconsulting services to suppliers of electricity and natural gas throughoutNorth America and to the governmental bodies that regulate them. We supportpublic and private organizations to promote energy efficiency, energyconservation, and the development of renewable and distributed energyresources. Members of our team design and analyze studies to inform technicaldecision making, policy, and planning in the energy industry.We are seeking a motivated, intellectually curious, diligent,communicative and creative thinker to join our team to work on pressing energyand resource challenges. As a member of the planning and assessment team,you will use multidisciplinary approaches to support planning and evaluationprojects. You will also work with members of our team on large data sets fromhigh frequency energy consumption data collected to nationally known datasources that will inform markets for energy efficiency and load controlmeasures, quantify the opportunities to realize energy impacts, designprograms to take advantage of those opportunities.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in planning, designing and implementing research efforts tosupport energy resource planning.Work independently to manage tasks and participate in research efforts,ensuring consistency and quality of research methods.Analyze collected data using Excel or other analytical software to identifytrends, summarize program events and reach meaningful conclusions andrecommendations for inclusion in clearly written, concise reports.Calculate energy and demand impacts of energy efficiency equipment.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide technical input onprojects.Assist with project management activities, project coordination, andbudget tracking.QualificationsBasicBachelor's degree in environmental science, mechanical or electricalengineering or a quantitative field such as physics or mathematics and either2-4 years' work experience OR Master's degree in relevant field.Proficiency with MS Office applications, including advanced Excel skills.Experience writing high quality reports and delivering oral presentations.Ability to provide timely communication, adapt to changes, and delivertime-sensitive products.Initiative and ability to work collaboratively as a team member andself-direct on numerous and varied assignments; proactive in reaching outfor assistance or clarification.Some domestic travel may be required (under 10% annually).PreferredUnderstanding of HVAC, energy efficiency, and renewable energy technologies.Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, SAS, SPSS, STATA, EViews,ArcGIS, MATLAB, Visual Basic or other analytic languages and platforms.Additional InformationThis position will be located in our Oakland CA, Portland OR, or BoulderCO office.Please submit 3 to 5-page writing sample with application.Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S PermResident or U.S. Citizen.Cadmus is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer and prohibitsunlawful discrimination.
