Seasonal Warehouse Worker (Non-Driver)

The Salvation Army is seeking an individual to provide support in our Emergency Disaster Services Warehouse in Aurora, CO. The position is responsible for properly inventorying, palletizing and caring for in-coming donations of goods, assisting the program and general labor as needed. The individual will be responsible for the taking donated goods and sorting them into the appropriate category, placing the items in appropriate boxes and then placing the goods on pallets and racking the pallets. The individual would also assist in overseeing volunteers. The individual would also help with deliveries and pickups as needed. Generally, the hours of operation are 8:00AM – 4:00PM but hours will vary. This position reports to the EDS Warehouse Supervisor. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly position.


Position Qualifications:

 High School Diploma/GED;

 Experience working with volunteers and vendors;

 Must be able to lift 50 pounds without help;

 Experienced in the use of a forklift and warehouse material handling equipment;

 Knowledge of proper food handling, storage and rotation procedures;

 General computer knowledge and skills, including data entry, WORD, EXCEL and Email;

 Ability to work outdoors and in inclement weather;

 Be flexible and adaptable as to hours and tasks;

 Understand the value and importance of customer service;

 Ability to lead others and give and take directions.
