PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Sr Computer System Technologist I, in Aurora, CO.
The Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering (HW&I) team has a professional Infrastructure Engineer opportunity available to support platform baseline management activities on the Earth Observing System (EOS) Mission Operations System (EMOS) program – NASA's earth science monitoring constellation.
This position will perform engineering tasks pertaining to the integration and administration of new and existing computer, network, and storage technologies.
Individual should possess knowledge and experience with computer and storage technologies, services, operations, and associated security practices.
US Citizenship is required due to the candidate needing to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
Experience with deployment and integration of Windows Server (2012, 2016)
Experience with deployment and integration of Windows Desktop (Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows VDA)
Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Ruby, PERL, bash, etc.)
Experience with common network services such as DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP and troubleshooting
Experience administering backup infrastructure technologies
Familiarity with TCP, and secure protocols
Effective written and oral communication
Experience with deployment and integration of enterprise data storage architectures (NAS, SAN) including iSCSI and Fiber Channel technologies
Experience with deployment and integration of Active Directory including Group Policies, PKI, Replication architecture
Experience with hardening baselines such as DISA STIGs or CIS Benchmarks
Understanding of network technologies and associated services, management, and security practices/techniques
Ability to develop clear and concise documentation
4 years of related work experience required
US Citizenship required
Ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance
Ability to work cooperatively with other engineering disciplines
Experience with Configuration Management
Experience with automation tools / DevOps such as Chef (preferred), Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Fabric or similar products for O/S builds, software installation and configuration
Experience with deployment and integration of enterprise virtualization technologies (VMWare ESX/ESXi/vSphere/vCenter)
Experience with Linux System Administration including patch management and hardening
Experience with management of security technologies including Nessus, BigFix
Required Education (including Major):
- Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 4 years of related work experience or 12 years of related work experience in lieu of a STEM degree
