Intelligent Waves LLC Software Architect in Aurora, Colorado
Intelligent Waves, a rapidly growing Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), has an immediate need for a Software Architect to support our mission critical work for our government customers. The ideal candidate will possess experience in multiple areas of Information Technology (IT) such as infrastructure, services, and/or DevOps tools and have experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions. The candidate will join the Research and Integration Division (RaID) of Intelligent Waves (IW) and support DoD & Federal Government customers on long-term projects.
Location & Travel: This Java Architect position is based in Aurora, CO. Minimal travel is expected and will be reimbursed based on GSA Per Diem rates and DoD Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
Security Clearance: This Java Architect position must be a United States Citizen and hold a current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and be willing to take and able to pass a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Collect and interpret customer requirements into an overall software architecture design.
Work in a dynamic, cross-functional, and multidiscipline technical team to plan, design, develop code, and implement software that meets system and/or system sub-component requirements
Support requirements analysis, Code peer review, Engineering Review Boards (ERB) and Critical Design Review (CDR) boards
Develop documentation and perform integration and testing of hardware and software platforms to ensure proper functionality.
Ensure application performance standards are adhered to and maintained.
Develop measurable Systems Acceptance Test (SAT) plans that validate code quality and its functionality.
Experience using tools such as Eclipse or Spring for the development, inspection, and manipulation of XML, XSDs and WSDLs.
Experience using SOAP-based web services between Java, .Net, and/or PHP
Understand capabilities or have experience working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, Bamboo, and Travis CI.
Build automation tools to provide efficient testing capabilities
Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
Experience working with PostgreSQL, MariaDB, SQLite, and Mongo databases
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related scientific or technical discipline
Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and medical assessment
Ability to physically install and interconnect IT equipment in a customer datacenter
Must have minimum 5 years’ experience with software design/architecture and development
DoD 8570 Certification (Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP…)
Expertise with Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, Engineering Technology, General Engineering, Software Engineering
Experience working in large and dynamic server farms and networks
Knowledge with Agile principles (DevOps and Continuous Integration)
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a diverse team
Ability to communicate with senior military leaders and civilian government officials
Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
High-level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and mission focus
Ability to work multiple projects and rapidly integrate and support new customers/environments
