We pioneer innovative ways to monitorand safeguard networks and systems, develop strategic ways of identifyingand investigating network anomalies. We spend time observing real-worldsecurity operations teams, and help them improve how they do their jobs. Ourwork ranges in scope from the close-up investigation and examination ofsecurity data, to the assessment of large, enterprise-wide networks,systems, and missions.Position Summary:Selected for this position will be a senior level Cyber Security Engineer whowill have worked or have knowledge of the cyber security domains. As SeniorCyber Security Engineer, you will lead and/or participate on teamsresponsible for:Providing strategic policy and technical support to senior decision makersLeading and mentoring teams in the development of enterprise securityarchitectures, systems, capabilities and network operationsProviding system security engineering, requirements development, andtechnology evaluationYou will provide security tools/solutions/capability integration,interoperability and deployment/implementation guidanceYou will participate in technical efforts, including development and of newanalysis techniques, tools, and platforms, preparation of analyticreports, and contributions to research publicationsYou will become a respected cyber security domain expert by customers,government, other FFRDC's and contractors.You will advance the state of art of cybersecurity systems, networks andenterprise environments.You will Research and develop viable technical solutions for operational usein high-impact environments.Requirements:BS with ten (10) years or MS with eight (8) years or equivalentcombination of training and experience.Your concentration of study should be in computer science, or a relatedquantitative field of study in network operations, security operations, ornetwork and systems security research.Experience in software engineering and mathematics is plus but not arequirement.Willingness to travel to various locations to support the SEI's overallmission. This includes within the SEI and CMU community, sponsor sites,conferences, and offsite meetings on occasion.
