Summary -- Travel RN – Clinical Transitional Research Center - University of Colorado Hospital - Aurora, CO
The Clinical Translational Research Center (CTRC) is a 24/7 inpatient research unit supporting both NIH and Industry sponsored clinical trials. While collecting data for the research study, the CTRC nurses provide support for a broad range of participants from healthy volunteers to those with critical/stable disease. Our nursing services include; Vital signs and anthropometric measurements, IV insertion, phlebotomy, time-specific blood sampling, ECGs, drug administration (oral, SQ, IM, IV), patient observation with frequent monitoring and real time data collection.
Our research spans all disciplines, including but not limited to; cardiology, neurology, pulmonary, endocrine, dermatology and infectious disease. Our most recent clinical trials include the Regeneron infusions (COVID-19) and the Moderna vaccine.
CO RN license or compact privileges
BLS and ACLS
Teaching Hospital experience preferred.
Travel RN experience preferred
RN with acute care experience

To be considered as a UCHealth Traveler you must NOT be a current employee, and you must live more than 75 miles away from the facility in which you will be working.

· Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
· Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
· Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
· Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and take appropriate action. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Graduateof an accredited Registered Nurse Program if less than three (3) years'experience.
6months nursing experience (in an acute setting)
Statelicensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and any relevant unit specificcertification requirement.
BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR forthe Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR and ACLS card must be good throughsixty days of hire. All lifesupport certification cards must be issued by either the American HeartAssociation or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.(American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hireand all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Associationsanctioned course.)
Cardiacpatient direct care experience
· Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
· Experience in a teaching/academic hospital
· Two years Travel RN experience
· GI/Endoscopy experience

This position's pay rate is $38.00/hour + travel Stipend/ Package. An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance
