As aGEODIAN, you will work hands on with products from hundreds of customers indifferent industries - retail, healthcare, technology, and more -all within our warehouse distribution centers located globally.No matter what position you're in - you will find yourself contributing tothe development and success of your career and our customers.Primary Duties:Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order,or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, and/or distributedPulls and prepares product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number andtype of product is loadedSorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in binsaccording to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color,or product codeAssembles customer orders from stock, stage orders and/or conveys ordersto packing station or shipping department according to OH or customer picksheeLoads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products and materials using afork lift, clamp truck or other power equipmentMaintains equipment by keeping it clean and safe, reporting service requestsas neededAssists in maintaining the security of the warehouse by conducting operationsin a manner which promotes safetyChecks orders for exactness and neatness according to ISO 9001 proceduresMarks materials with identifying informationRecords amounts of materials or items received or distributedWeighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformanceto company standardsEfficiently moves and loads product from staging and/or storage areas intotrailersUnloads inbound freight safely and moves products to storage locationsPerforms picking duties in an efficient manner that meets both company andcustomer standardsAssists with physical inventories and cycle counts, ensuring proper stockrotationAssists in distribution center/warehouse cleanup as requiredOther duties as required and assigned by supervisorFor food accounts, incumbent is responsible to report food safety problemsto senior management to initiate action.Requirements: Education and Experience:High school education or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalencyMinimum 3 to 6 months experience and/or training in a warehouse environmentPrevious experience operating warehouse equipment such as a forklift preferredEssential Skills:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence,and memosAbility to follow safety regulations while operating equipmentAbility to regularly lift up to 50 poundsAbility to learn proper operations of warehouse equipmentEnvironment:While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required tostand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms. Thisposition may be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch as it relates toproduct handling and distribution, and must regularly lift and/or move upto 50 pounds. This position may occasionally lift more than 50 pounds.
