They consult and assist in thedevelopment, implementation and measurement of complex cross-functionalperformance assessment and improvement projects/initiatives for hospitallicensure and accreditation. They assure accreditation participationrequirements for licensed/accredited facilities for The Joint Commission,CMS, state agencies and other regulatory agencies. They conduct ongoingperformance analysis to identify clinical outcomes and other improvementopportunities, coaches/educates providers and management and supportsteams'/task forces to ensure successful outcomes of projects. They buildand maintain strong business relationships with leadership, agencypersonnel, providers, and employees' system-wide to facilitate theoverall accreditation and regulatory compliance strategies. In addition, theSenior Specialist mentors, coaches, and collaborates with management to directResponsibilitiesPopulation Specific CareNo direct patient care.Essential Functions:Performs all the accreditation and regulatory activities including, but notlimited to, survey preparation and readiness assessments, surveys &inspections, post survey audits, documentation and implementation of plansof correction.Leads organizations readiness tracer program and is responsible forcommunication, tracking and validation of implementation on action plans incompliance to the regulationsLeads, facilitates, coordinates data collection of organizationalcompliance with the standards and regulations. Utilizing and collaborates onongoing improvement in audit tools and methods to assess and support patientcare quality improvement projects through data analysis and innovativeinterventions, in order to improve outcomes for patients and families and tomeet accreditation and regulatory requirements.Effectively assesses organizational needs, objectives and challenges andformulates appropriate improvement strategies in collaboration with assignedareas to support internal clients in achieving regulatory compliance that arealigned with organizational strategy, pillar goals, mission, vision andvalues.Develops data collection plans; conducts measurement system analysis andanalyzing, interpreting and summarizing data sets to support root causeanalysis and to demonstrate improvement. Establishes appropriate controlplans; analysis of existing policies, procedures and practices. Explorespossible alternatives or solutions.Leads, facilitates, coordinates and provides project management asidentified through regulatory compliance processes.
