Kelly Services Chemist in Arvada, Colorado

Chemist -Temp Contract (9 months possibly longer) $25.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

QC chemist will prepare and test samples from all phases of a manufacturing or other handling process, with the goal of determining if the substance meets the standards or requirements of the project. Require basic lab-work skills and thorough understanding of chemical biological testing equipment and processes. Prepare documents that report the results of lab work.

Responsible for minor equipment troubleshooting and repair. Preserve workplace safety know safe materials handling as appropriate, for hazardous materials. Ensure compliance to local procedures and global policies.

Perform all duties as required to maintain a robust QMS including: management review, internal audits, CAPA, complaints, document control and engineering change control. Assist in investigation and disposition decision of non-conforming product and returns. Assist in maintaining training records and train site personnel on necessary quality procedures. Host customer and third party audits. Assist Quality Systems team as needed. Assist local team with continuous improvement and establishing and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators KPI s Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) or Good Clinical Practices (GCP), as well as any applicable Federal regulations or industry standards.


  • AS degree in a science with 5 years’ experience

  • BS degree in a science with 3 years’ experience


  • Knowledge of good documentation practices

  • Knowledge of documented Quality Management Systems and FDA regulations (ISO-9001, 21CFR Part 820)

  • Understanding of Quality Systems methods and tools

  • Experience with procedure and report writing

  • Auditing experience preferred

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Demonstrate experience and strong skills in customer service and interaction


  • ASQ – CQA a plus
